It doesn't all have to make sense you know?
What you're writing I mean.
Sure you should have some coherency and logic to make sure that everything is mostly readable and easy to follow, but like don't get bogged down in caring about logic and the continuity of events.
Even excluding the whole aspect of "this is a blog about the fantasy genre and most fantasy is wacky and weird" if what you're writing is a work of fiction every aspect of it doesn't need to hold up to the logic of reality, not everything has to make exact sense, and not everything has to be explained.
Also minor plot holes are fine they really do not matter.
Oh and when I say that I mean actual plot holes not "this character made a less than totally logical decision in this very stressful situation, uh what were the writers of this thing thinking that's a ding on the mistake-o-meter."

Happy Halloween from all of us at RotB! Watch out for Pitch and his helpers as they join in the scary fun.
Writers, Listen Up!
So, I do not know how many of you know about this site, but there is a wonderful website geared specifically for authors that encourages writers to write using a “RPG” game of sorts. 4thewords.com is made and developed in Costa Rica but has spread far past the reaches of the country. Essentially, it is a game with a storyline that encourages daily writing. To defeat monsters, you must write a certain amount of words in a certain amount of time. These monsters drop items that will help in your quest. It is not a small game, either. There are several different locations, and the difficulty increases with each area.
I have been using 4thewords.com for a year and a half now and I have written over 100,000 words. It is a wonderful site for those of us who love writing, but may be riddled with doubt, writer’s block, or lack of motivation. I highly recommend everyone to try the site out.
Curious about 4thewords, but afraid of paying money for something you may not like? Luckily for you, the site has a free 30-day full trial. Try to keep a 444 word streak each day to see if you write more with the site. Plus, if you decide that you like the game, a membership is only $4.00 a month. What is there to lose?
If you would like to sign up, please use my referral code MWYBH66421 for a free 20 core crystals (core crystals are the games in-game currency).
There’s no harm in trying this site out. It has helped many find the passion to write. Plus, the site has many contests, special events, and ways to share your story.
Hope you enjoy!
I want to write a story with someone where we both create a characters and then control them kind of like role playing but I have no idea where I can do that I used to have a forum for that but it’s dead now and when I google “written RPG” it searches for a guidebook on how to create an RPG and someone help me tell me there’s a site or forum or a discord group or just something for that where I can just create a character and the other person creates a character and we write a story together…
The Gems of Sogash is a writing adventure inspired by a homebrew D&D world I created. This roleplay has a major plot that will unfold in unique ways depending on how the members want to play it. I offer my decades long experience as a roleplayer, dungeon master, and of being a previous rpg admin to bring you along the journey! I got you! -- Admin Cassiel
