miscommunication has such a bad rep but ive been reading it a lot lately and you bitches were LYING!!! if it's done even semi well it's fucking delicious. im eating that shit up.

even enjoyed writing some ... tho im running outta ways for my characters to miscommunicate. ideas would be apprechiated

i´m thiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiis close before i write my sex scene (well i ... i won´t write every detail) but after 58 chapters i´m fucking nervous you can´t believe it. like my characters lol

and i´m annoying my friend at the moment because i´m so nervous and somehow i don´t wanna start but i will and have to at one point.

Writing rant incoming:

Okay do yall know that thing smut authors do where the (often male) love interest asks "Are yOu SuRe aBout ThiS?"? I hate it. I love consent and espechially verbally confirmed consent. But that Shit annoys me sm!! And not just because ita repetetive. And i never got why, which, i was kinda stupid.

The revelation came when some male love interest asked "Is this what you want?" instead of that sure bullshit. and OF COURSE thats better! He's (in this case, could of course be any gender lol) asking whether he understood the consent correctly, not questioning whether his partner actually thought this through. Are you sure is INFANTILISING AF to me. That's why I hate it. Baisically, TLDR

"Are you sure?" -What you ask a child choosing an unfamiliar dish at a restaurant

"Is this what you want?" -Confirming via verbal communication that there was no mixup and that everyone actually IS on board with the programm. It assumes the person being asked knows what they want, and just double checks that it was communicated.
