Customs they’re used to~ Were some of the marriage-related customs where your character came from?

Values they hold ~ does your character think marriage is a financial or property arrangement? Are they holding out for true love?

Experiences they’ve had ~ Are they or have they been married?  What was it like?  Would they repeat it or change it now that they’ve been in the modern world and seen different cultural values associated with the construct?
