Journal 3

It's been a while since I've written anything, preparing for the Festival took a lot of my time and it paid off, because I won my battle! Though what happened is another story I might not be able to share anytime soon. Regardless, Nileas performed fantastically, I am very proud of him, and watching the other's battles was very informative.  

I've been spending most of my time after that researching about the trials, the locals don't seem to be up to saying much of it.. but I did overhear some trainers talking about it in the cafe. It sounds simple enough from what I heard... but we shall see.

Of course, I haven't just been researching! I've also added two new members to my team. Kibe the Magnemite, found him in Hau'oli City, near the trainer school. And he's such a natural at battling. I also caught a Wingull, which I've named Luan.

I believe I've covered the more important pieces for now.

Journal Entry 2

Since the festival in Iki town to honor of Tapu Koko will be held in a few days.. I've decided to take this time to bond with Nileas and get a little training done. Professor Kukui gave me a few PokeBalls, so I decided to add a couple of members to our team. Two in fact!

My first catch was a male Pikipek, found him in Route 1! Named him Finn, he seemed happy with his choice of name, and seems a natural at battling. My second catch was a female Yungoos over at Hau'oli City Outskirts, whom I named Senga. After that, I decided we should take a break for lunch and let the three out of their pokeballs so they could interact with each other.

So far, so good! As far as I can tell at least... I have a good feeling about the festivals battles now! It's not as difficult as I thought it would be.

First Pick

Due to the time differences between Anistar City and Melemele Island, Juliette arrived in the middle of the Alolan night, but she couldn't complain. The glow of the moonlight on the ocean was quite the breathtaking sight, one she didn't have much time to appreciate as she was quickly ushered into the island's local professor. Quick and to the point, she was presented with a choice of three Pokemon the girl had never seen before.

All the research she had done about the region and she forgot one of the most important thing. What Pokemon was she going to pick for this journey? Worrying her lip, the brunette's eyes darted from one Pokemon to the other, as they stared at her back, seemingly impatient.

"Go on! Pick one, pick one!" Professor Kukui urged her with a grin and thumbs up, to what Juliette tried her best to ignore.

"Perhaps... Popplio?" The sea lion blinked up at her in response, "Mmm, yes, Popplio should be a good fit! If I stand here and think about it too much, I won’t make up my mind."
