I will admit that while writing this new fic has been fun and it's been quite awhile since I've had this level of inspiration and motivation for a creative project, it is a little demoralizing to receive so little engagement for it (save for the people I've literally forced to read it that is lol... Thank you to my Friends for putting up with me)

It's a feeling I need to push past in order to continue. I have a vision and I want to see it through until the end. I'm really proud of what I'm creating and I feel like my skills as a writer have improved so much in the last two years. I'm getting this feeling as I'm writing that I'm at the top of my game and what I'm making is absolutely going to be worth it.

...But still.

It's really isolating to put so much of your heart and soul in to something and to send it off in to the void.

...THEN AGAIN I suppose it's only been a few days. Maybe if I'm patient, who knows. Things still have time to change.

Chapter 7 + 8!

Yep. I was halfway through working on chapter 7 for this fic before I took a short break. Then I hammered out chapter 8 because I was feeling inspired.

I'm pretty cheesed with ch.8, personally... Spoilers under the cut.

I don't like to write anything for shock value. Pretty much everything I write usually has a purpose or meaning to it. In this case, writing about Leon and Sayaka smoking weed together was something that I had a lot of fun with. I got to draw from personal experience and apply that to both Sayaka and Leon in this chapter.

Both as someone who never smoked weed before until a certain age, and as someone introducing weed to another person.

I'm quite passionate about the de-stigmatization of marijuana and the legalization of it as well. I like to think Leon is the kind of guy who would enjoy doing that.

At the end of the day, I know the source material is deeply unserious and crass, but I relate to these characters and I find them to be really special. I've enjoyed using them as a catalyst to tell an interesting story that is somewhat personal to me in a variety of different ways.

I hope that anyone bothering to read it can pick up on those little touches.
