For a couple of years now, I've always thought that I'm bisexual. I've felt attracted towards all genders, but I feel like my tastes are kind of odd, in a way.
I've never been that attracted to guys that are typically viewed as attractive--William Levy aside, I haven't been attracted to anyone like the guys from One Direction or the stereotypical muscular, porn-star type guys. However, I've always felt attracted towards guys like Sufjan Stevens or Lee Pace. You know, the nerdy, milder types.
The same thing goes for girls. Like, I don't think girls with blonde hair or tans (of the Hollywood/Barbie archetype) are all that attractive, but I do like women like Zooey Deschanel or other "nontraditional" beauties.
I've noticed, however, that I like those who are more androgynous a lot. There's a fellow band member I've been talking to who I kind of like and met at Unity (my school's LGBT club), but I've been too scared to ask them out.
After my most recent attempts at having a partner, I guess I've been a little confused and nervous. I'm hoping to find out exactly where I stand with this whole sexuality thing this summer, but I guess I'm just scared of the results.
I'm scared that if I ever get interested in someone who's a girl or genderqueer, my parents will reject me (though it's stupid... I'm blessed with a family that doesn't discriminate very much).
I'm scared that my neighbors and friends will reject me.
Mostly though, I'm scared that God will reject me (which I hope is again, stupid). I never felt scared of this when I thought I was bi, but now I guess I've been in panic mode.
