wrong turn;
@mpxinvidia
Jinae was so, so lost. She must have taken a wrong turn (or several) somewhere, because she had been trying to find an ice cream parlour downtown... but the dingy, claustrophobic street she was walking down at the moment seemed to be several worlds away from a bright ice cream shop. This area was almost spooky. She definitely should have written down the directions her neighbour had given her.
None of the nearby businesses seemed like good places to ask for directions -and she could not even really tell if any of them were open, anyway- so she was at a loss. She didn’t think she would be able to retrace her steps and go back the way she came, so maybe it would be best to just keep going forward until she saw something familiar or came across a friendly face that could point her in the right direction.
Luckily, she did not have to wander aimlessly for too long - the next corner she turned brought her face to face with a man who at least looked like he knew where he was going. “Oh, hello! Sorry to bother you, but do you think you could point me toward downtown? I’m trying to get to Ice, Ice Baby, but I think I got... really lost.”
