We're here at Hampton Court Palace. A real jewel in the crown of British history. Dating back as far as 1986, the architecture, which was an homage to Brookside Close in Liverpool, has been revered by many (in some fairly heavy books) as one of 10 buildings that definitely exist. Thomas Cromwell was behind the building. Eventually he got sick of nobody seeing him and moved around to the front. Best mates with Henry VIII he was the envy of the royal court and the other courtiers particularly disliked him because he was around 80% meffier than them. Literally everyone else in Henry's close circle got new clothes on both Christmas AND Easter. Whereas poor Thomas only got trainers from Shoefayre once every 2 years. By building an entirely new court, Cromwell was able to entice Henry away from the toffs and have him all to himself. Rumour has it that the name came from a 'tonne of ham' which was discovered in the quadrangle. Henry is believed to have noshed the lot in less than a week, explaining him being a bit of a fat get later in life. But all of this ultimately meant nothing. Within just a hundred years, literally everyone involved was dead. #WrongLondon #TouristInformation #HamptonCourtPalace #LDN #HenryTheEigth #ILikeHistory (at Hampton Court Palace)
