Right, so you guys may have noticed that lately we keep attempting to do this and that to improve the rp, make it better, and there’s always a ton of Admin Message from us going out? Well, this is taking a step toward being the last one. Come Christmas break me and Amy are gonna be shutting down the rp if it doesn’t all out die before then. The reason for this being, this just isn’t the rp we envisioned and we have no idea what else we can do and what else we can say to improve on it.
The villains we wrote and the villains we allowed in aren’t villains. For the hunter people, you took a hunter character but what is he or she really doing? What are the vampires doing? The few witches? There’s noting going on in the rp and I’m not gonna keep changing the plot just so that it can fizzle out and nothing can happen. I don’t want to keep racking my brain trying to think up an event every week just so that something or another can happen on the dash and it can be active.
I’m tired of seeing players not played correctly, that plots that could have been great instead just fizzled out and died because A) your character just suddenly doesn’t give a fuck anymore or B) you don’t want anything to happen to your character or your ship so you’re not for it. At this point we’re exhausted, and we’ve exhausted all other options here. We’re tired of telling people to get on their accounts cause we know you’re around but you’re not posting on that one account of yours, we’re tired of reminding people to reply to everyone, tired of telling them there’s an open starter in the tags so hit it, tired of reminding them to check the main and do this and that and the third. This is and has been the only rp I’ve ever been on where the admins had to actually say this and that is going on and it needs to be changed up. This has turned into one of the rps that I avoid.
Now, we the admins have our flaws. I’m never in this world gonna say that we don’t have big glaring fucking flaws but we have tried our very best to at-least be decent admins. We’re not the best, we’re not great, but we actually try and it seems like nothing is coming out of our work. We’re not looking for a thanks, or a message saying ‘don’t put yourself down you were great’ cause fuck all of that. We’re not looking for any of that cause we just wanted to run and bring back an rp that we had really, desperately missed and instead it kinda spiraled out of control and became this thing.
We the admins have no muse for our characters, I personally feel like I now have to watch what I say on Landon in fear of hurting someones feelings and such, We both feel like certain stuff we say immediately get jumped on and it’s no longer fun talking to a lot of y’all in the OOC chat or such. Now, these are just our feelings. If this is what we’re feeling then how the hell does everyone else feel? Maybe they’re not speaking up or messaging us cause they could be shy or not wish to start trouble, but I’m sure we’re not the only ones feeling a way about this rp. I’m sure we’re not the only ones who just don’t wish to be here anymore. At this point, this is a just a town rp where supernatural creatures roam but nothing goes on.
The only drama that gets created is by the Alphas and by that I mean Lily, and Landon since when people mention the Alphas they basically mean them. They’re everyone’s enemy and that was the way we wished for them to be so we are happy that occurred, however, the other villains we wrote have all somehow turned heel and while that’s a great way to bring drama, it’s just basically at this point us kicking the same dead horse over and over again when we bring it up IC. What we originally wrote for the characters and the evil deeds they did has basically all but been erased in lieu of keeping them as pure as possible.
For example, take Eve. I do not wish to bash on anyone here and I certainly don’t wish to make any people former or current feel a way but she’s a perfect example of what we’re talking about. She was made to be vicious, to be Lily’s protegee. Somehow or another she was at first nice, and then she was alright, and then for the last one she just took a complete left turn. That was a character with a potential to cause problems and then do evil things to create drama and instead she was just turned into a girl scout.We didn’t wish to write messages saying this and that and having to expand on stuff we already thought was so clear. Instead we attempted to give hints in character about said person’s evil deeds and how them suddenly being this sparkling rainbow of joy and being nice wasn’t how she and others weren’t supposed to be but then those were shot down. We even had people come to use about others not being in character and we did our very best to not be the nagging and controlling admins even though we know this how they’re supposed to be and others know it too.
Characters not being played properly has happened to a lot of the characters we wrote so we called it quits on being nice at times and made messages about it, and tried even harder to get things to change and still nothing happened. We then figured, hell, maybe it’s not our members, maybe it’s us just not being clear. So, to fix that we changed the format of the bios by shortening them considerably. We figured the less information we gave the less unhappy we’d be if they suddenly weren’t played cause hell there’s no longer a tank of information on this bio so there’s no way for us to expect these characters to be this or that way. We also lowered our expectations on apps cause honestly, maybe we were being too picky before. Maybe we were just nitpicking, so we stopped being hard-asses over every app that came in so that we could further help this rp grow. We made things easier but we hit yet another stag in the road when it came to re-doing the bios we had already written.
When we attempted to map out what our original plan for them had been while also staying true to the way they’ve been ‘developed’ now we just couldn’t seem to write them. Some of the characters are nothing like how we originally wrote them to be and facts that we believed would be clear as hell has just been skewered so there’s no way we can re-write these bios cause it’s been changed so much. We can’t do this for so many characters it’s not even funny. Yes, character development happens but we can’t even figure out where the changes even started. What event caused them to change, cause when we had them entering the rp they were already evil already loving their lives. They were having fun killing, and hunting, and just being these awesome powerful characters. Now, you can say I just may have missed it but I’m always checking on my rp. Just as I’m always checking the chat to make sure I’m not needed, I’m always checking my rp to make sure it’s running smoothly and people aren’t unhappy as far as I can see.
We the admins are now the unhappy ones on our own rp! We can’t rewrite bios, we can’t rp the way we want to, we can’t talk in our OOC chat the way we wish either, what are we doing on this rp instead of keeping it open when we don’t even like it anymore? We’re doing it or should I say were doing it cause we didn’t wish to take away something other people enjoyed. We didn’t wish to take that from people so we sucked it up. We created our own little 1x1 so that we could play our people the way we wanted, and then we ran our rp and did what we could for it. But now, we’re tired of doing it and we’re ready to move on. Now, I know some might ask if they can take it over, but no. I’m not gonna hand over my hard earned work to someone else so that it can be butchered further or something. This is our hard work, this is our baby, this is my fucking baby and I’m not down for anyone else running it. We’ve done everything we can to keep it going but we can’t get people to stick around and at this point, we don’t blame them for leaving. There’s literally nothing to do and this has gone past the point of being a teen wolf rp.
This rp was supposed to be fun but now it’s just a burden and we’re not here to be bitched at, and or constantly complained too. You wish for us to run things properly but then get bitchy when we say this or that is the problem. I don’t need my members telling me what to do, or to remember my rules, or to keep badgering us over getting on and rping out something we think makes no sense cause there are only three maybe four villains in the rp and now, after having your feels and whatnot, you want a dash of drama to further get feels later on. We’re tired, we’re extremely bored, and we’re completely over this. The rp will be shut down, and if we decide to pick it back up it will once again be a complete restart. For now though, we the admins will be moving on. We thank you for the good times we did have, thank you for being there, for loving the rp, and again, we don’t wish to start something even though this inevitably will . We do love you guys, and no matter what happens we will continue to love you guys but we gotta call it quits with WTBH. It wasn’t all of you and I don’t want anyone walking away disheartened or anything. This was a learning experience and it was indeed a fun one but now it is what it is. If there’s an issue then message us but you know how we feel. If you’ve been in the OOC you can just tell how we’ve been feeling and how this is all just gonna end up imploding soon. We’re stopping and killing it before it gets even worse. We’re sorry.
