"How is THAT person in a relationship when I'M not?!?"
i've heard this line mannyyy times. i've also been one to say it at one time or another. and i realized tonight just how shallow that sounds. as if everything that gauges whether or not a person will be in a relationship is physical. it's so unbelievably shallow. but the saddest part of all is that our society puts so much value and importance on physical looks that some rarely take the time to discover someone's personality. we're judged solely on how we look from the beginning. and that's sad. some people with amazing personalities are often overlooked because they're not "pretty" according to society's standards. that's something that has to be changed.
