WE THE NORTH WEEK 2K21 - DAY 001

↬ happiness = judy ↫

first of all a disclaimer: manips are not my forte and idk why i decided that this year, i was going to tackle them. bc that is seven days, seven manips - send help. don't judge me too harshly on them. back to the main show. my main otp that is not written by me. the og otp if you will. i was going to do something a little different for this prompt, i was going to just encompass the site as a whoel because wtn is my happy place the place. a place that was very helpful during a pandemic and isolation and none of that fun stuff. but also during every other time since i've joined (six years ago) that didn't feel right though so i changed my theme. judy is my ship. i've been doing wtnweek since i joined and judy has featured in every single one of them so honestly this really shouldn't have surprised the majority of people here. i mean i'm not quiet about my love of judy. this is how much i love this ship. it has all the elements that i want from a ship. fabulous writers ( @ellectricmuse & @charlieweasleyy ) like seriously. they have one of my fav themes of light and dark and it is so refreshing to see it be the girl that is the one embodying the dark and not the boy. they balance one another, they're so authentic - both chars remain themselves when they're together (like this thread gave me anxiety bc i knew james would get in shit i also knew exactly where to find it and what the title was but that's besides the point). both characters are so well thought out, they're so beautifully written and they compliment one another so well. but what makes it such a great ship is that i read their individual threads when they're not in one together. james and prudy can stand alone without one another and i think both characters know they could manage it. personally i think their lives would lack so much if that were the case so don't you ever make it so i will hunt you both down. its just such a treat reading these threads, i instantly track when a new judy thread drops even without knowing what its about bc it doesn't matter. they're my otp ofc i'm going to read. i can't wait to see them go through the next year. remember, elle and haley, when you're planning things someone else is always reading and i'm fragile be kind to me 😉 i had a little tiny goal when i joined the site, outside of what i wanted with my own chars and ship. and that was to get connects with james and prudy. it might have taken some time, but i got them and it just makes me so happy. i track their threads, i like listening to elle and haley talk about them. and i could probably talk and talk and talk about this ship but this already got long enough. seriously though, ready james and prudy, you won't regret it. they deserve so much love and attention

WTNWEEK 2021 [prompt two] ↳ pain → brix + jadson

I’m smiling through the pain right now. We got the literal pain of pain (Pariza and Lincoln) where my stomach literally revolted against me tagging their last thread and it took a week to get the courage to tag. Playing Linc with some of my personal painful experiences adds to the trauma and therapy of writing him. We’ve got the Armstrongs, who’ve gone through a year of biological warfare mothers, understanding and getting the mental health needed, and a death of the one keeping them all together. Like their pain ain’t over... it’s probably just beginning??

And then? THEN? We have the shit show of joli or is it olison or is it brix or is it friggin jadson? WHO KNOWS ANYMORE?! It all brings me pain because they’re currently doomed from the start and always have been. It brings me pain that Oli tries so hard but he just can’t get this shit right. It pains me when Matt undervalues himself. It pains me when Jaz is unhappy and I just want to give her a hug. It pains me... but also makes me laugh when Hudson tries to mark his territory (go read their group comm), like FIGURE IT OUT HUDSON?!?! Most of all it pains me that they’re so close to getting it right but they just need to play fucking musical chairs and switch partners almost.

Spoilers: it brings me pain that this won’t even happen in the next year

⭐ i'm a simple girl. i see a group of hot people shamelessly flirting with each other and being dumb together with the promise of angst down the horizon, and i'm fucking sold. ⭐ sierra and sawyer are some of my favorite characters on the whole board, @emmatheshibarps and @charlieweasleyy truly deserve so much praise for how complex and lovable their characters are. i also love to see two dumb idiots giving a deity the praise they deserve, ngl. it brings me immense happiness to thread hyun with both of them - individually and as a group. (they're also hilarious without hyun, but his ego gets hurt if i say that, so i won't.) ⭐ i could go on for hours about the nuances of their relationships as a trio, but i'll just say a thread or headcanon with them never fails to make me and hyun happy - except, maybe, for when he realizes sawyer has a better chance with sierra than he has. welp.

Day 1: Happiness "I'm just here to be a burrito." "Be a burrito or make us burritos?" "Do you know how to make burritos?"

✧ Nothing could make me happier than a trio of nerdy, awkward boys with a bromance figuring out how to live their teen lives and getting into shenanigans in the process. From getting detention for spilling pills on a hallway to fluffy sleepovers under heavy duvets, it was just impossible for us to put these three together and not get a happy thread. Bela and Natalie are a joy to thread with and I always find myself smiling as I read through what these three go through.@feelsliketheresoceans @mortalkombatalie

WTNWEEK 2021 - PAIN

Pain is...

Reading the stories told.

The fights. The heartbreaks. Lost of loved ones. The reunions. Anything that makes you grip on your chest and go ‘MAH HEART!’

The Writers here at WTN are undoubtedly the most talented people I’ve known. They are not afraid to push their characters to go through life altering challenges.

One might yell, “Please no more pain!” but it is this that gives the characters the chance to grow and develop. So kudos to the Writers!

You are truly the best <3
