Oh, say, can you see?
My mother’s was one of the schools destroyed by flooding in WV earlier this summer. At present, she and her colleagues are sharing space in an elementary school that escaped the water.
Now, most of the supplies and equipment from mom’s classroom were salvaged, but they’re also currently in storage... in another county. Including her U.S. flags.
And since saying the Pledge of Allegiance is apparently a thing WV students do again, they needed something to salute, so until further notice they’re all swearing their loyalty to a classmate’s crutch.
Said classmate finds this hilarious, by the way.
