Last first day of undergrad! #WVUGrad #Almost #GoEers (at West Virgina University)
Well the road was as long as it was difficult to navigate, but I finally made it. I can say with pride now that I am officially AN ALUMNI of West Virginia University. It may have taken me 6 years to do it and a lot of obstacles to overcome but I did it. I remember 6 years ago that I was just starting to get butterflies about leaving for college in a few months. Yesterday morning at 8:15am, those same butterflies filled my stomach again. After everything that I've had to deal with, especially over the last three years or so, I never thought I would make it to this point in my life. I dealt with heartbreak that almost put me out of commission for an entire year, switching apartments because I couldn't handle living with bad memories every day, a possible suspension and later just a probationary period, and finally a switch in major program just so I could graduate. I finally made it. I busted my ass this entire last semester just to keep myself in check. I want to say thank you to everybody who dealt with all of my bullshit, my crying, my whining, and my anger over the last 6 years. To my best friends thank you for being there for me, and pushing me through all of the times when I needed you most. I love you guys. To my family, thank you for all that you sacrificed for me to get to this point. It means so much. Finally, to all of my fellow graduates...it's time to go out and show the world what WVU graduates can do. Congrats to all, and remember...It's a great day to be a Mountaineer, wherever you may be!
