Wonder Woman shield, complete! FINALLY. I kept making really simple, stupid mistakes and had to repaint this thing 3 times!! Robby Idol Photography did a fantastic job making it for me out of foam, I'm on such a tight time crunch to get things done for DragonCon so I am so grateful he had time to help me!
I started with Plastidip to seal the foam up, sanding between coats. I painted it with spray on silver, then hand painted on the gold, then the red. My first try was a spray on red paint, that was crap so I went to hand painting. Also, I thought a clear coat might look nice. Huge mistake. Started over! 😓 Finally, I added the 3D metal stars that were painted with the same silver! I added bracers in the back so I can hold it properly, as well!
