In case you don't get another prompt for the December Fluff Friday, I decided to give you one too: Yk I want Thomas' writing to get more appreciation, so how about he starts writing children stories for Jemima? They are actually very good and she adores them, and soon Alison and the plague ghosts start joining them to listen in as well! It's all cozy and everyone is happy with Thomas' writing!

Aw no, thank you for sending all these wonderful prompts, dear! 💙 I love how different they all are though I have to admit that this one is probably my favourite. I mean, how could it not be when it has all the things I love: Thomas, Jemima, the Plague Ghosts and of course, people actually appreciating Thomas's work 😊 I have a feeling this one will be really fun to write - maybe I can even work another one of my grandma's bedtime stories into it.

I must admit I wasn't quite sure what to do with your prompt at first but then I had the idea of connecting it to the past I've established for Vex in my fics (him being the son of an Evil Overlord) and knew it would offer the perfect opportunity to delve a little into that. I hope you're okay with me taking the prompt in that direction.

if the WW slot for 21 Dec is still open could I please request a little early birthday present for myself~? based on that post about Ian looking like he would have hit Bill, maybe he does actually end up taking out his frustrations on a random person in the market after a particularly bad day? and Croydon hears about it and punishes him for giving him a bad name and causing him trouble?

Would you mind if I changed your prompt a little bit? I know the whole point of it is that Ian for once does not have the frustration he's clearly feeling under control but I'll be honest with you: I'm not sure I can write actual aggression when it comes to Ian. So I thought I might turn the situation at the market more into him lashing out on instinct? As in: he's so used to getting hurt by Croydon that he instinctively tries to protect himself and accidentally hits someone when they get bump into him or something. Things then would escalate and Croydon would hear about it and, as per your prompt, punish Ian.

Would that be all right? I know it's not quite what you had in mind and seeing as it'll be a birthday present, it's totally fine if you'd rather I try my hand at your original idea. I just thought I'd provide an alternative that I'm a bit more confident I'll actually be able to pull off.

And my last Whump Wednesdays prompt: 3) Tragedy always strikes at Button House, so it wouldn't be a stretch that Mike and Alison have an oil fire in the kitchen one day. In a panic, Mike throws water on it and accidentally makes it worse. While Alison is eventually able to extinguish the fire with the ghosts' help before it gets out of hand, the experience is particularly tough on Mary and it sends her into a panic.

Oh, poor Mary! That would be an awful situation for her and I'd love to write a fic about it for you. The funny thing is, after I mulled over that prompt a little, especially the part of Alison being able to extinguish the fire with the ghosts' help, I actually had an idea about how one of the ghosts could actively help her with that and I apologise in advance just in case this will turn out to be a major plot point in the end (knowing me, it will 😂).

I Look forward to your stories every night. As living in Australia I only just got to watch s4 of ghosts, it really bothers me that Humphrey never shows his way grieving. Perhaps a nice inclusion of him finding out and how he mourned 😢

Humphrey really is always the last one to know things, isn't he? Poor guy. I mean, at least the ghosts remembered him this time (even if it was a little late) but I wonder how long it took for him to learn that Annie had moved on. Did someone tell him or did he one day go, "Hey, I haven't seen Annie in a while." And then Robin told him, "Oh yeah, she got sucked off last month," as if it didn't matter. I imagine that would hurt a lot. So yeah, I'm looking forward to writing a story about him grieving for you!

Here's my second prompt for Whump Wednesday: 2) What if Fanny actually likes to sing? She might not be very good at it, but it used to make her feel young and lighthearted. However, her mother and then her husband always criticized her singing and humming, until all their tearing down eventually made her fall silent. And maybe she one day sees Alison and Kitty goofing off and singing together, and she wonders what it would be like to join them but finds she can't bring herself to sing anymore.

Have I mentioned that I loving writing fics centered around Fanny? 💙 This is a wonderful prompt, dear, and as I already said on Discord, I will be using a moment that happened in series 4 as the starting point because that will work even better than Fanny randomly happening upon Alison and Kitty singing together (though I may be able to include that scenario in Fanny's thought processes as something she's witnessed happening a few times and always felt sort of sad and wistful about and now reflects on in the story).

I also plan on connecting your prompt to my fic The Club in which Thomas, Nigel and Jemima have formed a Singing Club. I just love the idea of Fanny desperately wanting to join but not being able to make herself take that first step.

Thank you for your amazing efforts this year! I have a couple of ideas that COULD be Norne if you'd like. This is the first time Thomas has gone a whole series without being visibly in pain from his wound, but now he's having stress headaches (ep1 from about 12:10, ep2 from about 7:55) and he seems to fret himself into a raging fever during his "Alison withdrawal". I'd love to see him get some care for either of these conditions (could be during the plot or another time it happened). Thank you!

I actually have a post about Thomas's physical reaction to things in the works because I find that part of his character really fascinating (also me writing about him getting hypothermia in This place (I don't think would feel like home) feels not so far-fetched now lol) so I'm really looking forward to writing a fic about it for you!

Hey there, my love! I saw your post about the open spots you still have for your prompt challenges and I definitely want in! ♡ I have three ideas for Whump Wednesday and here is the first: 1) I'm curious to explore Alison's feelings after she ends things with her fake "sister." The way she asked, "Why me?" really got to me. So how about we have her crying when she's sure Mike wouldn't hear her and get worried, but she's instead found by one or two of the ghosts and they comfort her ♡

Oh that, "Why me?" always breaks my heart. She sounds so devastated and heartbroken in that moment.

When I brainstormed this prompt yesterday, I settled on Thomas and Humphrey as the ones finding her since they've both been betrayed by someone they loved as well and can sympathise. Fanny would obviously work as well so maybe I'll find a way to include her too. I hope you're okay with those choices - if not, you're always welcome to let me know and we'll figure something out 😉
