Finally got some pictures of our 135th Medical Sanitary Battalion from 1942 (aka Soviet field hospital). I’m a senior medical assistant and Zac is an orderly.

Finally had a chance to wear our 1944 Soviet pilot dress uniforms. The RKKA VVS( Military Air Force) included 3 all female air regiments as well as women in various relateded roles in the VVS. The most well known is the 588th Nigh Bomber Aviation Regiment (known as the Night Witches).

We’re both wearing Order of the Red Star and Order of the Great Patriotic War 2nd Class, both common awards for pilots in the later half of the war.

Also, we may have gotten part of the inspiration for putting this impression together by watching the Soviet film Only Old Men are Going into Battle.

I had a lot of fun at my first tactical doing early war Red Army medic! I learned hauling all your gear, medical equipment, and rifle plus winter Soviet gear makes crawling through mud and grass an experience.

My first time doing Red Army reenacting!

We were potraying the 73rd Guards Rife Regiment of the 25th Guards Ridle Division in defence of the Voronezh region during July-August 1942.

@yugoslavfub and I’s Bielski Brigade impression, Jewish Partisans during WWII lead by the Bielski brothers in German occupied Poland (modern day Belarus).
