Omg so I went on Twitter and looked and you’re right they are so messy about harassing his team and Sylvie! I did agree with some of them though about how his team doesn’t give him enough promo and how it could hurt his career. Look at Camila. She’s doing a lot promo for her album. Don’t you think they could be a little better about promoting his new single? No one has even posted anything about it since the week it was released.

tbh, shawn is so transparent, that if he really cared enough to promote wyg, he would be on his own instagram. looking at all the past SOL content, it was a project he felt really passionate about. we don’t know what he’s telling his team. maybe he’s telling them not to promote wyg. i honestly think it was just a nice release to close the shawmila/wonder chapter and keep everyone mutual, happy, and on good terms. same with it’ll be okay. i think he wrote both the songs as therapy for himself.

as far as it hurting his career or him “flopping”. it’s just not possible. sure, he might not be in media as much (which i think is something he wants anyway). he’s always going to be relevant bc he’s shawn mendes. but we have to stop wanting him to be something and recognize the signs he’s putting out there: right now, he just doesn’t want the attention.
