so the Glassman Institute / Glassman House is definitely Queen of Samite aligned, right?

With it being the palace of light on a hill, surrounded by trees, the name directly referencing Crystalline Mansion and the references to "glory" all over the place

Were the fires set by one of the opposing forces from Weeping Cedars? the Unfettered Prince, the Librarian, the Chained Man, the Drowned Boy, something else?

Wrought of Amber Season Two Episode One

does the first season of WoA explain why Aunt Linda immediately starts screaming upon seeing the carved bit of amber on Emily's bed?

I remember that in S1, Alex says she "came out screaming", and in this episode Alex mentions that it frightened her and conjured up some really unpleasant images in her as a child

(ngl, that description of her as a child picturing a crumpled wooden doll or seeing Emily's face in the stone after she'd been crushed down into it actually made my stomach flip. horrible imagery, fantastic writing and delivery)

So did Linda see something messed up in the stone, or, given what Alex's dad's notes seem to hint about his culpability in Emily's disappearance, did the stone itself have some meaning that Linda was privy to?
