then grace tells rocky that stretch marks are actually considered ugly for human beauty standards. but rocky cannot fathom that. how could they be ugly, for they are the irrefutable proof of growth, of resilience, and of survival? it is like a story, written on skin.

and maybe grace has stretch marks because of his fluctuating weight, from starvation on the way to erid to the slow recovery journey. and in this context, how could rocky ever think them ugly? when this is the proof that grace sacrificed so, so much for him?
