          The best way to really win Ryan's heart is actually a long simple process. Show him that he means something. Show him that he's wroth it. Show him that he needs to accept compliments because they are all true, but also show him that there are negative things about him too. Remind Ryan that he is a person. Become his friend, his shoulder to lean on, become someone whom Ryan cannot think of being without. And once you have reached that, tell Ryan you love him. Slowly. Whisper it to him, sing it to him in a song that doesn't outwardly say I love you. Tell him that you love him, but tell him that there's also no pressure. That time is something you're willing to give him. That you will accept his flaws and accept the beautiful things about him too. Tell him that its okay to be scared of the future that he's always so unsure of. Tell him that he looks amazing while he's playing the drums, and ask him to play the drums for you--naked. Tell him jokes, whisper them into his ear. Hold him close, both mentally and physically. And once you have wrapped yourself like a protective shield around Ryan, once you have met his sisters, once he has accepted you as much as you have accepted him, he'll realize. He loved you all along. But more than anything, give him time. He's kind of slow on the intake of things. He's scared of so many things. And he is often lonely, though he will mask it by asking to be alone. Do not let him lie to you, because he will do it often. And overall, be his friend before you are his lover, and be his lover as much as you are his friend.

TRUE X-FACT: The guns used by Mulder & Scully changed 3 times. In the pilot, Mulder carried a Taurus 92 Automatic, firing 9mm rounds. Scully carried a Bernadelli 7.65. Mulder later switched to a Glock 19 & Scully to a Walther PPK 7.65. In the first few episodes of the second season, they were both carrying Sig Sauer's. Mulder, a 226 & Scully, a 228. They then finished up with FBI standard weapons. Smith & Wesson 1076 with 10mm rounds.
