•warnings! I mention Murdocs abuse towards 2D, drugs, f*tishization (VERY briefly). There is NO NSFW in this post!
•this man is a lover-man at heart. Loves to love and be loved. Just existing in your presence is more than enough for him. Of course he'll always request more anyway.
•always reaffirms his love for you, DAILY. He'd die before leaving you with any lingering questions about his feelings whatsoever.
•SUCH a cuddler! He has a lot of love to give and (before you) not a lot of ways to give it. So now that he has the opportunity? Oh he's ALLL over you.
•not just physically either, although he adores physical affection (giving and receiving), he makes sure to always let you know he cherishes your mental capabilities and mind.
•to be honest, I can't see 2D having any super strong physical preferences. Although I do think he would gravitate to someone with some meat on their bones. (Although that may just be personal preference) Of course, not in a weird or fetishizing way, he just finds those bodies comforting. Although again, I don't think he'd care all that much.
• what I DO think he'd care about is how you think. That's a big thing for him. He wants someone good with communication, who will come to him with a problem instead of beating around the bush or bottling things up till they explode. I genuinely just think he'd want something with a strong moral compass, and who is kind.
•I mean... 2D is... a little slow, so being upfront with any problem you have, any behavior you didn't like, or anything in general is the best course of action, because unless it's obvious you're upset or somethings wrong, he's not gonna notice.
•2D has obviously dealt with a lot of shit due to murdoc and his abuse. So having someone kind and understanding without being a pushover would be great for him in my opinion.
•oh yeah if you EVER stood up to murdoc for him (blocking murdoc from hitting him, defending his name, etc.) He would be CHEESINNGGG.
•couldn't stop smiling omfg.
•he appreciates the fact you get along with the majority of the band, but he understands it can be difficult to like or be cordial with someone who actively hurts the person you're in love with (mentally and physically) even if it's like after phase 4.
•he would be EXTREMELY against you and murdoc physically fighting, 1, because he's worried murdoc might MILLY ROCK your ass, 2, he doesn't want you fighting on his behalf, especially if the only reason you dislike him is because he mistreats 2D.
•2D would be... iffy about revealing your relationship to the public, not because he's ashamed of you (QUITE the contrary), but he's worried obsessed fans will try and get between you two or try and tear you down.
•also, its none of the publics business who he dates.
•he's fine with being private if you wanna be, he'll reveal that he's in a committed relationship, and talk about said relationship, but he'll keep your name out of it to protect your privacy.
•in interviews WILL NOT STOP YAPPING ABOUT YOU. Of course if you don't want to be named, he'll keep that out. But he won't stop talking about how great his partner is.
•if you allow it, he has absolutely no shame in talking about you and won't be able to tell if the interviewer is uncomfortable or put off. Although if someone like murdoc is with 2D during the interview, he'll probably be able to get it through 2D's thick head to tone it down.
•one of the absolute most important things to 2D is quality time. Of course, he wants to get to know you inside and out, but you don't even have to be talking for him to value each millisecond you spend together.
•just basking in your presence, and the warmth that seems to radiate directly from his soul anytime he's around you is enough for him.
•would despise being in arguments with you. He's no child, but he can be a bit slow and accidentally insensitive. Whether or not he understands what he did or said he's still beside himself for making you upset and wants to understand why it hurt you and how to avoid that in the future.
•2D craves a genuine and long-lasting relationship with someone who wants the same. The type of genuine romance you only ever seem to hear about in books and movies, but once you experience it you'll never forget it.
•the moment he introduced you to the band, you essentially started living at Kong studio. Of course, at first you would go home, get things, and when you planned to stay the night, bring them to the building. But eventually 2D coerced you into just keeping them there, your toothbrush in one of the bathrooms, a pair of your underwear dangling haphazardly on one of the blades of the ceiling fan that looks like it hasn't turned on in ages, food that you like appearing in the fridge and pantry (even though the other bandmates don't notice all that much and will eat it despite 2Ds complaints and exclamations that they're there for you.)
•he didn't plan for you to stay there, and he has no alterier motives for essentially having you move in with him murdoc russ and noodle. It just seemed most convenient. 2D never wants to be away from you anyway.
•well, there are, of course, times where he needs to be alone, during heavy migraines he needs to be by himself, usually just laying with his eyes closed and eventually falling asleep, although he appreciates you attempting to help by making him tea or even food, migraines tend to make him super scent-sensitive, so the best course of action would be to make him food and tea while he's napping to eat when he wakes up feeling better.
•overall, 2D wants to love and be loved, and he has lots of love to give and hopes for lots in return. He wants you to be open with your love for him as he is for you, he wants there to be not an ounce of doubt in his mind about your feelings for him, and in return, he'll do the same.
AN: aahh!! I hope you guys like these! This is my third sort of X reader post (as of recent + as of tumblr). I absolutely ADORE both 2D and damon albarn, so knowing that 2Ds character was pretty much based on damon as a person made this a lot easier lol, anyway! Thank you all for reading, I love you!!
