One of my all time favorite headcanons for Clary is that she is an amazing cook. She used to watch foodnetwork all the time and it led to her love for the cooking things.

Headcanon: Song She Most Relates To.
The Song: Because of You by Kelly Clarkson The Analysis:
I will not make the same mistakes that you did. I will not let myself, cause my heart so much misery.
This is a reference to her mother, and her ‘family’. They allow themselves to carry on a centuries old vendetta and she refuses to be a part of it, she has refused to make herself be miserable for the sake of tradition.
(even though she’s miserable anyway)
I will not break. The Way you did, you fell so hard. I’ve learned the hard way to never let it get that far.
This part is more a present reference to her brother, who was changed so much due to the influence of their coven. She has resolved that she’s not going to let that happen to her. Even after she’s left, she still let’s the coven influence her.
Because of you I never stray too far from the side walk. Because of you I learned to play on the safe side so I don’t get hurt. Because of you I find it hard to trust not only me, but everyone around me. Because of you I am afraid.
In reference to her entire coven. She was raised to play dangerously, to do the wrong thing, the amoral thing. And now that she’s an adult. She doesn’t know how to trust people. She wants to be good, but she doesn’t exactly know how. She doesn’t form relationships well, because every relationship she had (except for Chris) ended up hurting her more and more.
I lose my way, and it’s not too long before you point it out. I cannot cry because I know that’s weakness in your eyes. I’m forced to fake, a smile, a laugh, everyday of my life. My heart can’t possibly break when it wasn’t even hole to start with.
This goes back to her mother. She feels like her mother puts far too much stress on her. Every time she strays from the path that she’s ‘meant’ to follow her mother points it out, or more so pulls her away from it. And she can’t show emotion beyond happiness and joy for what she does, because she knows it’s considered weakness among the coven.
Killing is meant to be something enjoy by assassins. It’s a love, a religion even. So she has to fake happiness, a habit that has stuck even beyond her leaving the coven. She has difficulty expressing her emotions. And she knows it’s impossible for her heart to truly break, because it never healed from the first several times.
I watched you die I heard you cry Every night in my (your) sleep. I was so young, you should have known better than you lean on me. You never thought of anyone else You just saw your pain. And now I cry in the middle of the night for that same damn thing.
I feel like the first three lines of this section are in representation of her initiation. She has nightmares of the child that she killed, to keep her coven happy. Which can also play into the fourth line. In which it talks about having been so young. Her initiation occurred at a young age, and was a symbol of the coven bring in another to ‘lean’ on. Another killer to help with the mission.
She sees them all as heartless murderers, even her mother. Just as she sees herself as one. A fact that she does often cry about.
The Diagnosis: PLAY THIS SONG IF YOU WANT TO MAKE HER CRY.
Headcanon: Initiation
When Bianca was initiated into the Phoenix Coven after her training, she was required to kill an innocent. The death that rested on her hands, wasn’t just one but two.
A mother and a child. Both were witches. And as instructed by her training, she’d tried to actually be merciful, but the mother fought back to protect her child. (As any mother would)
She killed the mother first, don’t ask how, she’s really touchy on it, then she’d moved on to the crying child. She’ll never admit to anyone that she cried, not even her brother knows that she cried when she killed the child.
Needless to say she passed her initiation. But she’ll never forget the sound of the child’s screams.
Headcanon: Self
Bianca has an extreme hatred of herself. She can’t stand the person that her family made her into. And she often feels like she doesn’t deserve the love or the relationships she has, because she feels like she should be condemned like any other demon due to the things she’s done.
That being said, she makes an effort to take care of her exterior rather than her mental state, she likes to project an image of being okay despite the fact that she is not. Even when she doesn’t feel like it, she’ll get up, put extra effort into being presentable.
Though her mind is usually a mess of disarray.
Headcanon: Relationships
Bianca doesn’t actually know how to build proper relationships with people, and even though she’ll deny it to her grave she is legitimately terrified of commitment. As she was growing up, she didn’t really have any role models or examples of good commitment in her life, beyond the commitment to her coven, and when she left the coven she broke the only commitment she’d ever really had.
It’s why she struggles with her relationship with Chris so much. She knows that she loves him, but she doesn’t exactly know how she’s supposed to handle the level of commitment required to maintain a relationship. Which leads to her leaving often, but she always returns.
In this respect, she has only been in one relationship beyond her on again off again relationship with Chris. And it ended two days after it started, because she didn’t feel anything towards the guy.
The Smith Siblings Or: the elder brother and sister of Gary Smith and how they’re influenced (kinda) fucked him up.
Gary, like other well-off white kids, has his family to thank for the influences they bestowed upon him that effects his current way of thinking. Specifically, his brother and sister, considering his mother is rarely around and his father has been incarcerated since Gary was six. His siblings were the ones to take care of him which they were the spawn of their parents influences making Gary’s older sibling’s views... askew and problematic. ( Note: this is like, Bully level, shit up in here let’s go ).
