She knew the observation, tease though it was, wasn't fair. The AC in the basement seemed to break down at twice the rate of anywhere else in the building, being the basement the natural ventilation was non-existent, and the notion of warm air rising was a bit of a crock.

So who could really blame Mulder for shedding his jacket and tie, and popping the top few buttons on the shirt he was currently sweating through? No-one, and especially not Thera, who had been standing in the room for barely a minute and was already uncomfortable. "OK, OK ... " She stepped forward, setting things on the desk; two bottles of water with condensation on the sides, and a small electric fan. "I took this from the forensics lab, I knew I'd seen it there somewhere."

She sighed, scratched the back of her neck, "Maintenance says they're working on it, but they estimate 'around 4pm'. So I guess we're on extra, extra casual Friday until then."
