So I rewatched episode 4 with my sisters (in dub) and you know what I didn't understand?

Why in the hell didn't X-Less carry Shigaraki out the room when Present Mic carried the Doctor out?

What the hell was he thinking?! Sitting there like "😶". He needed to get got because the moment Present Mic was moving I would have been carrying out Shigaraki right behind him. You said he had no pulse! Technically, Shigaraki was dead, so what was the problem carrying his body out? He just sitting there, for what?!

He is a Pro Hero and I saw the muscle definition, so I know he had the capability of lifting Shigaraki!

I know, to keep the plot moving, but listen!

THE TROUBLE X-LESS COULD HAVE SAVED EVERYONE IF HE JUST PICKED UP SHIGARAKI AND RAN OUT!

Shigaraki would never had got hit with that electricity, Crust wouldn't have died, Midoriya and Bakugou would be good, and so on!

The only thing good that came out of Shigaraki waking up was the Nomus dying, but not even all of them dies!

X-Less just sat there and then got killed and his ugly ass cape stolen!

You know how in horror movies where the character is just sitting there looking at the unconscious killer, instead of double tapping the killer or running away? And then they get killed?

Yeah, that what that scene reminded me of!

Man what a hell of an episode, this season really keeps killing it. I'm so happy they're giving endeavor the respect he deserves, any shot with him is just so well animated I can't wait to see when he's in an actual serious fight this season.

Tokoyami came in clutch, even if he did need a bit of help from the plot to prevent Dabi's colonel ass from Kentucky frying him and hawks. But I do like seeing the relationship between him and hawks develop, I'd like to see tokoyami actually fight dabi but it's just a bad match up for him.

Yo my main man crust, he was always just a background character for me but there's just something about how they animated his noble sacrifice and saving Aizawa. When they showed him giving that thumbs up my heart went out for him and he got my respect, Crust the g.o.a.t.

Seeing it animated I really feel the akira vibes with shigaraki in that cape. Poor X-less, he did everything right but a random spark was all it took to doom him. Also this is another thing I really hate in shonen where they make the villains seem so overwhelmingly powerful that it makes it hard to believe when the good guys win. Like it's hard to imagine how the heroes can actually beat shigaraki since he got all the magic upgrade soup from the doctor.

Shigaraki going from having his torn up leather jacket/coat look like a superhero cape in the MLA arc, to then having that iconic read jacket in Heroes Rising, to now stealing X-Less’ red superhero cape after demolishing a building and killing a handful of Pros. Thats what i call character development. I stan.

son of a bitch. Horikoshi finally gives us a character with an undercut, but it’s the character who spent the entirety of his very short-lived time in canon covering up his sexy hair with his decidedly unsexy mask. and then he fucking died. jesus christ, X-Less. what a life.

incidentally if anyone is wondering what the text says, it basically just explains that he can fire a blast ray from his eyes (as we all guessed), and describes him as “a cautious and reliable hero.” and then confirms that Tomura killed him and stole his cloak sob. and something about how it’s sad but he did his best. ah well. he’s off living it up in the himbo afterlife now. rip X-Less.
