Okay, let's assume that "Dorry/Dory" is, in fact, X-Drake or Diez Drake for a moment. Do you think this appearance holds any significant meaning such as Drake appearing soon possibly after the Dressrosa Arc or even meaning that he is a likely candidate for the Law/Luffy Alliance depending on if he comes into contact with Rocinante or Law in the upcoming chapter? This would mean he mean he actually has a connection to Law which was possible hinted at in Sabaody.

Assuming that Drake is Dorry in the flashback, I’m still not sure how much it is going to directly link Drake to Law. Law wasn’t a part of the raid on Barrel since he’s just off to the side almost dying. Even if Law ate the fruit right then and there, it’s not as though he’s going to be able to instantly take all the poison out of his body and go back to good health. For this battle/crisis—one where we have Cora, Barrels and all his men, Doflamingo and company, AND the Marines all descending in one place and fighting each other—the likelihood of Law and Dorry meeting each other and interacting in a meaningful way seems relatively low to me. And I don’t think that Cora is going to be the one who saves him either. Given the fact that Drake becomes or remains a Marine after this, I think it’s more likely that Sengoku’s people will arrive and take him down, or that Doflamingo’s men will do it and obviously Drake’s not about to fall in line behind that man. I just don’t think that Drake having a debt or connection to Cora or Law is all that likely. I could very easily be wrong, but this is my guess. One Piece is on break this week, so tragically we'll have to wait another week to find out what's going to happen.
However, with all that said… I think Drake is going to be a very important character in the future. I'm 90% sure that he's currently working for Kaido right now, something I explained in this post. But the Supernovas aren't exactly the type to fall in line behind someone else, even a Yonko... I'm very sure that Drake's motivations for leaving the Marines and joining Kaido are something that will be very important in the future. I expect him to initially fight AGAINST the Straw Hats, but there is no way he's working for Kaido without his own agenda. And I have absolutely no idea of what that might be, which is the reason Drake is such an interesting character to me. He a rare deserter from the Marines, and it doesn't seem possible that he just wants to be Pirate King like many other Supernovas. I'm very interested in his motives and what role he'll play in the story during Kaido's arc.
