her dreams were all the same --- he was HANDSOME & tall; his smile brilliant, easily lighting up the room. eyes warm chocolate, peppered with black specks. accent thick, hanging on every word he spoke. the woods. a fire. happiness. each of those dreams ended with the witch gasping for air --- as if thick, black smoke was filling her lungs.
these dreams plagued her for months, leaving magnolia restless, irritable, & most of all --- CONFUSED. she had to find answers ( if there were any to find. ) she followed the trail of the dreams. some had just him, as if she was watching him like a fly on the wall. the timeline didn’t make much sense --- some dreams were in france, others in places she hadn’t known.
until the last dream lead her to the french quarter of new orleans --- hundreds of miles away from her the small town she ran & the coven she was regent over.
‘ jesus christ --- ’ the witch mumbled to herself, wandering down a cobblestone road, streetlights flickering on one by one as the sun slowly disappeared into the horizon. ‘ i’m following dreams. for a guy. this is insane. ’ she continued to whisper to herself, bag slung over her shoulder as she tried to find the image from her head. from the last dream. ‘ i should be seeing a shri------ ’
her words fell short, mouth parting open as her eyes landed on a tall figure ahead of her. HIM. the man from her dreams. all the dreams came flooding back into her head like a movie. parts where his hair was still long & they were hand in hand walking along side a river, him in france, his heart break over another. all of it at once.
‘ ------ elijah. ’ & most importantly, his name.
