what is nanami like in terms of romantic situations? is it something put on the back burner because everything else, or is he more actively looking for something?

Nanami is the type of person to put anything personal on the back burner. WHILE hes working, he doesn't want anyone personal to give in the middle of it because he would hate to choose who to kill and who to save at that one point in his life. The person who ever got close to him died in his arms --- SO he wouldn't want to see someone else he loved die in front of him.

BUT if he was looking for someone, it would be someone who could really keep him on his toes. Someone a little more out going then he is. He does want someone he can protect and love. Hold close, but if he does find someone he loves, he might at first push her/him away because he doesn't want to get hurt.

Nanami isn't one to show his emotions outright. He's more of an action speaks louder than words, but he's the sweetest, too. He says the right things at the right time when he loves someone. Gift giving, trips, etc. Just have to get his walls down to even try.
