Imagine: Wooseok as your CEO/Boss AU
He would be known to always get the deals and collabrations he wants with his charm and knowledge thus being feared by other companies
Actually didn't want to be a CEO at first, but since his whole family is in the business he had no other choice
Can be both gentle yet put on a strong and professional facade at the same time.
His employees love him, other CEOs usually hate him.
Actually wanted to be a barista (Wooseok didn't want to be an idol at first but a barista!) and tries to live his dream by having a small coffee shop for his employees in his company's cafeteria even though his product have zero to do with coffee and food
It's an electronics company
He swears the coffee is for his employees mostly
You work at the build in coffee shop with 3 others
Wooseok comes down to the coffee shop whenever he can - which is almost every day to be honest
You never know if he's flirting with you just because it's in his nature and he's flirting with men, women and nonbinary (I see you guys and I love you!) people left and right anyway
Like sometimes he teases you and then goes to tease his assistant, Kim Yohan, over the fresh cup of coffee you made in a matter of 1 minute?
One day his company is celebrating another collabration with a very wellknown company, almost as known as Wooseok's
Only certain employees work that day and inside of your head you curse when you get en email notification from your boss. It's a saturday!
Luckily the event turns out to be less of a work day then you had thought. You and one of your co-workers brewed some coffee for free and handed it to people that seemed to be interested in Wooseok's products from the collabration.
At the end of the day to wrap it up Wooseok, his assistant, the other CEO and the CEOs assistant usually go out to grab dinner to celebrate their work. You were suprised when for the first time in your 2 years of working there both sides invited their other employees to join them
It wasn't that Wooseok wasn't generous nor not known as kind. More he was known to be gentle but still keeping a distance within all his kindness and flirting to keep his professional side. Honestly, he was hard to read.
It couldn't be an act of kindness, so you wondered what his motives where.
Due to so many people at the table you barely spoke to Wooseok. He was busy with the more important employees and you were even seated so far apart, that you could only see his side profile.
Since you weren't the most extroverted person you clinged onto your co-worker and mainly talked to him.
When everyone finished their meal, Wooseok and the other CEO announced to pay for everyone as some sort of thank you. I mean, they're rich...?
Both parties split their ways and you were left with your co-workers and Wooseok. The co-worker you had clinged to lived nearby and didn't give you a ride back since he was meeting up with his friend for a birthday party. You wanted to ask one of the IT workers who've always been kind to you to give you a ride home.
In that moment, in the parking lot, Wooseok who had fallen behind due to bidding and bowing everyone goodbye jogged to your side to ask if he should give you a ride home. You trusted your boss, so there was no reason for you to say no. You didn't know where he lived, but inside your mind you hoped he wouldn't have to drive far just for you.
During the ride you saw a different side to your boss. He jammed his fingers against the steering wheel to the beat of the famous pop song that was easy on the ears. You had never seen him this energetic before.
At the company, Wooseok always had this calm, strong yet gentle atmosphere about himself. You couldn't help it but smile. It was always interesting to see people being different from their workself.
As the song ended, Wooseok turned the volume down to ask you for directions as you came down from the highway. He followed your directions, but as you spoke to him, his teasing came back.
"So you've been clinging onto (your prefered co-worker name) a lot today?"
You freezed. Not because of the mention of your co-worker. You were best buddies, the older brother you had never had. You freezed, because that must've meant he had watched you during the meeting. You had been on other sides of the table.
He would throw in another small remark along the lines of, "Don't worry I won't tell him I was the only one who saw it ;)" as he pulled in front of your house.
In that second you grabbed your bag, turned to him and dropped that your co-worker actually had a girlfriend he was planning to propose to in 2020 with your help.
It was the first time that you've seen your CEO dumb-founded. A slight, knowing and confident smile usually played around his mouth. For the first time his expression read a blank oh shit
You tried to supress your chuckle and keep being polite, this was your boss!
But when Wooseok said, "It's okay Y/N, just laugh" and broke out into a quick embarrassed smile he hid behind the back of his hand immediately, you joined him.
He cleared his throat, fixed his blazer and composed himself quickly. You followed suit and thanked him for the ride home. There he was. Professional Kim Wooseok.
You got out of the car and just wanted to go straight to your door, because something about the way seeing him laugh right in front of you made you feel peaceful wasn't right.
But when he called your name, you had to turn around. Wasn't it unpolite to not follow your boss orders?
"Good night", he would say with his gentle and soft voice and you would only be able to nod your head, watching as he drives off into the distance.
