So between recs from a friend who has been watching Markiplier stream for years, and all the Project Hail Mary crossover stuff (this was much less of an influence - it just happened as a coincidence after I’d started checking his old streams), I have watched some of his archived streams over the last few weeks. I find the most entertainment watching him play some of the same games I really had already enjoyed watching my regular streamers (xAcceptiion and xkarutaclanx) play, even from months or years ago.
I’m into the indie and kind of low-res games (including the early Poop Killer and other 616 Games), Kiosk, Mortuary Assistant, and loads of others. I’m not terribly into the big expensive produced games (well… anything GTA is pretty entertaining, I’ll give you that, especially the ones GrayStillPlays used to play - he hasn’t done a board in a long while, I’m not sure why because I don’t really keep up with their behind-the-scenes lives).
Anyway. Stream quality rests a LOT on the performance and presentation of the streamer. A few years ago I did not understand the appeal, but my sister sort of got me into my first streamer a few years ago, and I started to get it. I still only follow like 3-4 regularly; I guess I’m adding Iron Lung dude to the list like millions of other viewers, LOL.
