once again he had found himself disappearing without word --- but this time he returned with gifts ! as peggy entered the study it was littered with flowers from various dimensions, none of which existed on earth, and upon the middle of the arrangement was a medium sized box. within was a necklace, one of which HE CREATED HIMSELF using his magicks. " i'm back, " he'd murmur, a soft --- albiet apologetic --- smile upon his features.

@xagentcarter; texting starters (accepting) Peggy gets 🌻 a worried text.
[SMS: Peggy Carter] I phoned your office, they say you’re still out of the country [SMS: Peggy Carter] Are you okay? You still coming over for dinner on Friday?

"It's why Erksine chose you, after all. Despite Phillips's reservations, there are some wars that can be won with kindness."
“Well, you know, that’s all I had going for me when I was small...”
incoming transmission from: @xagentcarter message sent: “There’s no one to blame but me.”
"Says who?" The mission had been a bust and they'd lost out on some valuable information. But the men had come back in one piece and only some of them had minor injuries. For a failure at least it had been the best possible scenario. Unfortunately, he knew that Carter would take it personally. It had been his intel but she was the one who had put it all together, which meant in the end she would blame herself for it. And he wasn't too sure he knew how to remind her that it wasn't her fault, that it could've happened to anyone. Steve could've put it like that but looking at Carter he knew that it wouldn't do a damn bit of good. Anything he said wouldn't help and could actually make it worse. Which meant he just needed to remind her she was human like the rest of them. "It wasn't your fault, Peg. You did the best you could."

“I’ll show you how. Just be there.”
Just be there.
Those were the last words Steve heard before the plane crashed into the Arctic and his entire world went dark. He expected his life to end. He made the ultimate sacrifice, saved millions of people. His life would have some meaning. That was his choice.
He never expected what happened next.
He was warm. Comfortable. The unbearable cold that surrounded him was gone. His eyes open, and he blinks once, slowly taking in his surroundings. He was in a bed that was way too comfortable, neutral walls. It was daytime. There was a window. Slowly, he sits up in the bed. On the outside everything appeared as if it was still 1943. But, he couldn’t shake this sinking feeling that something was very wrong.
The radio catches his attention. He turns and looks at it for a second. He knows that game. He was there. He didn’t know where he was, but he wasn’t home. The door creaks open and Steve is on his feet in an instant, ready to defend himself, or fight, whichever he may need to do.

“Mama? Are you awake?”
The little voice, while aiming to be quiet, is very much not, in that childish attempt at a whisper. Small feet pad across the carpet as the four year old boy hauls himself up onto the bed beside his mother. Daddy is away for work, so there’s plenty of space in the bed, but that doesn’t stop Mickey from snuggling close. It’s not quite breakfast time yet, which means there’s time for cuddles.

“Oh shit.. It’s honestly an honor to meet you.” He of course had heard numerous stories from Steve and Bucky, as well as Tony. “What brings you by? Is there anything I can do for you?”
