— She looks up, her body shaking with every breath. There’s grimy sweat and tears coming out. She snarls. How dare this person just waltz in? And what did his damn smile mean? Was this funny to him? Did he sincerely enjoy her being like this? ”Fuck off.” She stands and attempts to recollect herself. She wipes her tears with her sleeve and fumbles around for her pack of cigarette. That’s what she need right now; not some consolation from some bloody bloke who thinks he’s hot shit just because he caught her in a tantrum. Nora was stronger than that. She lights it up, her makeup is smudged from the tears. Her red lipstick taints on the cigarette, but she doesn’t care. She inhales deeply, instantly calming down. She begins to leave. She doesn’t even have the energy to come up with another snarky remark. She wants to leave. She doesn’t want to be here anymore. She doesn’t want to exist anymore.
Yes, he was probably looking a little bit too happy about this. Especially since something like this wasn't really a laughing matter. But it had seemed like it had been quite some time since he'd encounter such dysfunction, that he just couldn't help himself.
