alright yall i’ve been on a xander/andrew kick and i am not sorry for this

this one’s not mine it’s just the fic that kept me up all night last night, you’re welcome

here is Xander escaping the apocalypse through a portal that Willow was supposed to come with him through, into a dimension where the apocalypse didn’t start, so Andrew didn’t die, but this isn’t his Andrew.

It’s several years post-series, the apocalypse is actually super scary, and Xander dealing with the first peace he’s had in months of trying to defeat (and then just to survive) the apocalypse, losing everyone and everything to get that peace, and now his boyfriend isn’t in pieces but also isn’t his boyfriend? Just a guy who looks like him and acts like him and is so close to him that the dissonance is harmonizing with his grief? *chef’s kiss*

Also there is nothing I love more than almost-but-not-quite duplicates. Two Xanders, who made slightly different choices. Yes please.

I’m not done with it but if the ending disappoints me I will be shocked.
