after looking at the tags of the l*kareaves fic tag, here are some observations:
every fic in the l*kareaves tag on ao3 is unlocked...every single one
nine separate "fics" are l*kareaves fanart are from one artist
about nine fics are kind of dark, featuring alternative universes like austin being a slave or a ISIS soldier (interesting worldbuilding choice?), with tags like racism (!!) and xenophobia towards luka, or rough and violent themes of smut between l*kareaves
two authors make up over half the tag - twenty six fics just from them (60% of the l*kareaves tag)
if it's alternative universe, both basketball players will usually be stripped of their irl personalities and will represent the tropes that the author prefers in the context of the chosen plot (except luka may retain his slovenian roots depending on the plot)
if the other lakers players are tagged, then the fic will be set in the sport of basketball
The sad part about loving a player/team who routinely trash talks is that yeah it's hard to woobify them on Tumblr bc the trash talk does eventually fail and yeah it is very disrespectful and everyone starts getting hurt bc all the lines get crossed
