Zen World of Power The Fourth Division
Alpha Knights Xasmal, Yohan and Zoey
The eldest current Alpha Knight, Xasmal began his service among 25 different Knights compared to the current order. He has been around long enough to see the entire order shift around him, many of his former comrades died in defense of the realm. Xasmal was once the sole defender of his home village on a small island in Zen’s oceans. Knights came to aid once and he was seen as a very likely candidate for ascension. A decision Xasmal made only when Rein provided an actual defense force for his home. Xasmal is wise and unmoving in the wake of the Tek Revolution, a stark contrast and frequent debater with Ulysses about the changing times.
Yohan is a young but incredibly skilled Knight as well as an adept healer, having aided many prior to ascension in treating Nerosian related injuries, including a very grave one of his own. Though there is some facet of the injury that still stirs within him, he moves on determined to protect others from the myriad of known and unknown side effects to direct Nerosian contact.
Zoey is the leader of the Fourth Division as well as Argon’s lover having met before ascending and trained together for sometime in her home. Zoey experienced the brutality of a Nerosian invasion on her hometown when she was young and a barely passable warrior. Being saved by the Alpha Knights she strove to be the best and learn the most powerful and difficult styles in existence. Thus she studied Negative Magic, a trait few can master and incorporated it into a magic blade. Upon mastery the magic left her body to inhabit her sword, giving it wholly unique properties never seen before as well as altering her eyes. Zoey’s appearance and her pulsating blade intimidate many, but even post her transformation, Argon loves her with all his heart.
Eienias Thoughts and/or Trivia
Xasmal is super old. I think he’s in his 70s? He’s up there for sure, dude has seen A LOT. I do wish I had more obviously old characters but of the Knights only Ulysses and Xasmal qualify as old.
I’m still deciding on what is so unique about Yohan’s Nerosian injury but I’ll probably just stick to the original explanation and result of what comes of it.
As you can see, the alteration the Negative Magic caused to Zoey’s eyes, the normally white sclera is now a deep dark purple and her own eye is a few shades darker too. (shown better in my drawing) normally magic in Zen flows within the user’s body, but for Zoey it flows through her blade. As long as she maintains physical connection with the blade she has all its power. But if separated from her blade, she wields another power born of the absence of magic that not many understand.
