as someone with a father with als, who closely follows research and treatments for als, i’m sad to hear about stephen hawking. i know he won so many more years than others with the disease, enough that despite his disabilities he lived a truly full life and did more than many others do even without illness. but today i spent so many hours reading about nurown and stem cell transplant procedures that, in a few years, may very well be reversing the damages done by als in pals. idk but i had this wild idea that stephen hawking, like my dad, could be around to see nurown pass trials and become widespread. maybe get the treatment.

it just feels like such a loss.

my dad’s insurance company finally approved radicava treatment for him. i’m so happy...

okay so i just had another phone interview and we will see in one/two weeks if i get a follow-up + on-site interview......... sigh this time i really want this job BUT  ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

raise your hand if you have ever been part of a group project and one of your members says “look i did so much work” and you are so happy but then you look at their work and they literally put HUGE chunks and paragraphs of poorly-written information into a single powerpoint slide
