I must say it will probably change depending on how the main story advance (especially her relationship with Xavier, I really want it to be a slooow burn).
Her relationship with Zayne is the only one which does not change and it's not because I do not care about Zayne nooo! It's because Zayne & Esmeray are tightly connected, story wise & personality wise too. I wanted a character to be a true constant in her story, aside from her love interest. I debated a lot if I should create another character to fulfill this part or just use an already existing character. I chose the later because it was less time consuming.
I will talk more about it later because otherwise I will talk too much again ah ah!
Anyways, in the end game here what I imagine her relationships with each love interests to be :
> Xavier : Married & Neighbours
> Zayne : Bestie & Colleagues
> Rafayel : Friends with little brother/big sister dynamic
> Sylus : Rivals with a deep respect for each others
> Caleb : Friend of a friend (they tried their best for Zayne but they never could truly be like before)

I just wanted to share this beautiful art that I commissioned from Narie (@Mynariee on twitter). I love it sooo much ! They captured what I wanted so perfectly & I cannot wait to receive the full package I ordered from them because I know it's going to be so cute 🥺💕
I want to talk about my thoughts process on this piece for a bit and on why I chose to go with "The Little Prince" of Saint-Exupéry as my main theme. So sorry for the ranting below XD
Firstly, Xavier undoubtedly have influence/reference from this novel in his story arc & character development. The most visible example is the card Horizon's Pulse, which is literally a remake of the Little Prince & the Rose's story.
Secondly, the character of the Rose, in the book, share a lot of similarities with my headcanon for Esmeray (my MC). Add to this, the dynamic in game of Xavier/MC, it was the perfect canvas to mix these two visions together & highlight what I picture their relationship to be.
Finally, the quote that Narie chose (which is coming from the book), add a third layer to all this art. In English, the sentence can be roughly translated as : "We see clearly with the heart. The essential is invisible to the eyes." For me, this quote resonate with the essence of the Xavier/MC trope. They do not have a sacred bond which transcend timelines, they are not soulmates or destined to each other. It's their hearts, purely, who guide them toward each other every time. Their feelings are so strong that they will be together, not because it is written, but because their hearts cannot be apart & always find each other. But, for that, they have to open their hearts, see with their hearts not with their eyes. This quote is kind of like a summary of their journey. To find each other, discover each other and love each other. Every time.
I don't know if any of this make sense but I needed to let it out somewhere XD

The flowers are primroses which are one of Esmeray's birth flowers. They can be associated with the idea of spiritual wisdom, protection, passionate love or even new beginnings.
The weather is a sunset. It's the fav part of Esmeray day, she loves to watch the sun take his final bow and let the moon & the stars rise once again.
The color is royal yellow. It is not, Esmeray favorite color. But it's a color which represent well her childhood. Yellow is associated with power and wealth in some culture, so due to her family background, it's a color she wores a lot.
The food is a matcha mille crêpe cake. It's a cake with a lot of layers and it does not require a lot of ingredients to make. However, despite it's plain appearance it can get quite tricky to bake. Just like how getting to know Esmeray may seem simple at first glance but that is underestimating all the walls she put up.
The beverage is a cup of chili chocolate hot coffee. Esmeray number 1 drink ! She has it every morning, every lunch & during late night shift. She likes it extremely spicy and Xavier learned it the hard way (you will never see him taste one of her drink ever again, even if she says "I promise it's not thaat spicy !").
The object is a retro gaming console from the 80s. Retro games are Esmeray's passion & secret hobby since she was a teenager. She collects every games from this time period and she was the champion of the "Linkon Retro Gaming Competition" 6 years in a row till Xavier put a end to her winning strikes...
The place is an archive. This place represents how Esmeray manages her life. Every is organised and planned to the perfection, every little mistakes can turn in a disaster in her eyes so she has to be three steps ahead of everyone and memories everything so she can always have a solution when needed. It's a stressful place for her at first. But after meeting Xavier, the archive will become a place full of warm memories and plans for the future.
The animal is a firefly. It's the nickname that Xavier gave her since she told him that she was always able to find him in a crowd because "his glow always attract her". It is says that fireflies use their light to "talk" to other fireflies and find their mate.
Oof! I didn't think I will write this much but here we are XD I have sooo much to tell about Esmeray & Xavier but I have to organised everything in my head first XD Thank you to anyone who read till here 💕 Do not hesitate to ask questions or share your OC/MC with me!
