Better Circumstances (Closed RP) [xblack-batx]
Sydora wrapped her jacket tighter around her body, glancing around nervously as she made her way down the crowded street. Her heart was racing in her chest as she ducked into the nearest building. She ran a hand through her hair, whimpering quietly as she looked around. The room was smokey and nearly empty, a wooden bar placed on the far side of the room with a sleepy barkeep leaning against the counter. It was a bit early for a drink, but she was terrified--petrified--to go back out onto the street. She slipped onto one of the empty stools and closed her eyes.
"Could I get a hurricane, please?" she asked quietly, sighing with relief when the barkeep grunted and moved to make the drink.
+xblack-batx: Save me?
She was already limping, making her way away as best she could. Breath came in short spurts, a mist on the cold air before her. A wall. No no no. She hit a wall, and turned. Fear laced across her face.
"Someone..." she whispered, then spoke louder, "Someone help!" there he was. Coming around the corner. Muttering about "monstrosities" and "the good of society". Of course he was. A hand on her bleeding leg where the knife had cut through flesh, she watched the larger man approached with fear painted on her features.
"S-stay back!" it wouldn't work. Of course it wouldn't work. Little did the fly know, exactly what he was approaching. She had given him a chance. And he didn't take it. Sure, she called for help, but she hardly expected it to arrive. No. If she wanted help, she had to do it herself. That was always the way of things. And this stupid little fly would learn soon enough that she wasn't all she seemed. The moment he came closer.
Little did she know that this time, just this once, help was actually just arriving...
A Bat has entered Metropolis - xblack-batx
Superwoman was flying through the very skies of Metropolis as she surveyed the city for any signs of danger or distress. But only came up empty handed, "Aww, C'mon!" She said with a pout as she descended to street level and planted herself firmly on the ground. Why was it that exciting things never happened sometimes?
As Superwoman began to walk down the nearby sidewalk she glanced at the citizens that she walked past. Noticing how some of them gave her odd looks and a few sneers. Maybe it was because she was still in her suit, but she just couldn't remove it right now, lest she get just a little bit chilly from the temperature.
She did eventually find herself bumping into some guy she didn't know, she probably should have been watching where she was going. "Oh, I'm sorry about that! Are you okay?"
