Angelmaker plz (I actually have one of my own, but I havent fleshed out much yet, do you mind in case I borrow some of your ideas for inspiration?)

hm, I’m tossing up as to whether they would have two girls or if they would only have one child together but I’m really vibing the former against my rationale of motifs so they would have two very studious and very uptight daughters whom they are very proud of

their names are Chinatsu (small summer) and Mayumi (real/genuine archery bow)

both excel academically and Aoi and Yusaku are proud parents but they would be proud of them even if they were scraping the bottom of the barrel but nah, they’ve always been reading at levels ahead of them and probably have big goals. Chinatsu wants to be a doctor and Mayumi wants to code her own video games and stuff and wants to start her own studio

Chinatsu is the more masculine of the two whereas Mayumi comes across more feminine

Chinatsu is painfully awkward. She is blunt and she doesn’t mean to be rude, she just comes off that way accidentally but she is trying to get better because she wants to have good bedside manner for when she completes med school. Mayumi has the slightly sweeter temperament; both are introverted but Mayumi does accept the occasional party invitation

physically, Chinatsu looks more like her dad. Those angular shoulders, big green eyes, so on and so forth. She keeps her hair very short. She’s got a blunt fringe and a concave bob style but its shaved underneath; a shame because her hair does the thing Yusaku’s hair does at the back as well - relatedly, she straightens her hair religiously

meanwhile Mayumi looks more like Aoi but with more of Yusaku’s colour scheme - save for her big brown eyes with Yusaku’s lashes. She’s got the rounder face and fluffy hair of Aoi’s. Her hair is about shoulder length maybe and probably like a murky blue

neither of them got Aoi’s antenna/ahoge haha but neither of them got whatever the fuck is happening in Yusaku’s fringe either so they must have some things from their grandparents showing through instead

oh and if you still want to pinch my ideas xbrain, I’d be okay with it so long as I got credit

The only parts that are potentially convoluted (which are just simple addition, so... not all that convoluted) are entirely on my end.

I explained the whole deal for the sake of transparency about how it’s going to work, but all that anyone else is going to have to do is vote for their first name preference, second name preference, etc. Everything else is on my end.

With the standard ‘just vote for one name’ method and this many names, you’re looking at potentially multiple follow-up mini polls to try to get something to hit the 50% requirement for being confirmed. 

Basically, if all goes to plan then I’m doing some simple math to lower the overall workload of running this blog (and speed up naming, so shippers aren’t waiting around for ages). Please do remember that I’m running this blog single-handedly!

Problem is, Cyberse is also used by TCG cards, so it'sthe official spelling on both sides. "Cyverse" was only ever used on a TCG mock-up proxy of Decode Talker that wasn't even supposed to be published.

I’ll make this clear on the poll, but if the fandom is choosing to use Cyverse anyway then I’m not going to insist that they run with the official localization if they apparently have an issue with it. If the fandom isn’t choosing to use that on the whole, and the people in this inbox aren’t reflected by the rest of fandom, then presumably the vote will reflect that.

And this is all assuming that any ship names including Cyberse/Cyverse end up actually getting voted in, too, so it’s entirely possible that this is going to end up a totally moot point anyway.

About the Cyverseshipping suggestion: it's actually spelled "Cyberse". Subs use an outdated localization for some reason

While I don’t speak Japanese so I can’t say for certain, I’d hazard a guess that it’s probably technically supposed to be both, if anything? Cyberse is what we’ve seen onscreen regarding the cards, but it’s not like YGO fandom doesn’t have a history of ignoring the onscreen translations (’Dolowa’ and Ute/Joeri/Hugo never really took off in fandom, for one).

I did totally forget that the Cyberse spelling was on the table, though, so thank you for reminding me of that.

What seems like the potential best solution to me is - since the fandom seems torn on which it’s using - to put it up for vote as both, with a second question in the poll about whether people would prefer it to be be Cyverseshipping or Cyberseshipping. If it wins the vote in general, I’ll use that question to decide what becomes official on the list.

so, Bluebloomshipping for Yusaku/Aoi? The "fuji" in "Fujiki" is "wisteria" (a blue-violet flower), "Aoi" is also a flower (hollyhock) as well an homophone for "blue", and her nickname is *Blue* Angel. Then, they both have blue hair in one form (Yusaku in RL and Aoi in VR). I know this would work out into Blueflowershipping, but I thought that it might cause problems with Flowershipping (Alito/Kotori from ZEXAL)

Bluebloomshipping will be added to the suggestions list!

For future reference, though, names like Blueflowershipping wouldn’t cause any problems that I can tell, so please feel free to suggest things like that in future!
