Headcanon A:  Realistic

Shadow wouldn’t know what to do with real power if she ever actually got it. She mostly desires to be stronger in order to free herself from Chase, and since she’s been among the Heylin literally her entire life, she wants to take over the world purely because everyone else she’s around wants to. But if she ever actually DID manage to get that much power, she’d get bored and grumpy very quickly. The thrill of the hunt excites her much more than being the one in charge.

Headcanon B: while it may not be realistic it is hilarious

Shadow is a Game Addict. Originally, she was taught to play chess and other strategy board games by Chase, to hone her abilities, but Jack introduced her to the world of video games and she LOVES it. She found Kimiko’s gaming handle and managed to sneak her way into her party, though Kim has no idea that Shadow is on her side online.

Headcanon C: heart-crushing and awful, but fun to inflict on friends

Shadow has never in her life experienced real compassion or companionship. All she knows is control and manipulation, and it’s warped her and made it nearly impossible for her to interact with others and form a real lasting relationship.

Headcanon D: unrealistic, but I will disregard canon about it because I reject canon reality and substitute my own.

She isn’t attracted to Chase in any sense, because Chase is pretty much her dad and that’s gross and weird and all kinds of Hell No. She wants him to acknowledge her skills and give her freedom, but she’s not about that Incest life.
