Carter wore his headphones without really caring what the speaker was saying. This was day one of the coveted internship at Hans & Haas investment fund, the kind of internship kids argued that would change their lives despite working 600 hours more than a real job.
Carter didn’t care, he wasn’t looking to change his life. He was trying to figure out if the pen in his hand was fine enough to draw the detail in his doodle like he wanted to.
