Eto was well adapted at not bringing attention to herself, despite how the scenery might change around her. She did not know what was happening to her, or why, but Eto supposed that fact was something true to her anyways. She did not know why the world she had been born in forsook her, she did not know how or why she was even still alive in it. Yet, now she was here, on some strange and mysterious island. It almost felt like something out of a novel, maybe even one she had read before.
Yet, this was reality, and once more she was alone...
... or, so she thought. The scent and presence of another being was easily noticed within the small alleyway. The sour smell of the dumpster near her made her nose curl, but she could still smell a human-- that, and the acrid smell of ash.
With silent steps, she turned, only to soon peer into the eyes of a child. He was so little, so frail; was he a toddler? He was like her, someone whose body betrayed them. A glance was enough to tell her that.
“... What are you doing here?” Eto finally spoke, her voice as neutral as she could make it. “If you hide around garbage, you’ll turn into some.”
