But the poor kid was probably just in shock, whereas Kouichi was going through the motions on account of his warrior’s experience. After the other’s yelling had finally fled into the distance, the male took a breath against his adrenaline.

“If you hadn’t noticed -,” and Kouichi shivered at the idea that maybe only he could see those shadowy creatures - “something was after you. And,” he gulped and gasped at the taste of icy metal in his lungs. “It wasn’t good.”
