It's really sucky, because I know quite a few people who are feminists, and they can't seem to grasp why I don't like feminism. It isn't because of people like them, or people who actually want to do good, it's monstrous people like Dworkin, Big Red, misandry-mermaid, Sarkeesian and Quinn, the shit that happened to Erin Prizzey, the shutting down or bomb threats towards men issues conferences, Jezebel, all this garbage. When I was a kid and even in high school I considered myself a feminist because I thought that it was the Big Good, this pure force in the world fighting evil.

Now that I have a better understanding of human nature and what we're like, I know that it was naive to think that. I've said before that I don't mind people who call themselves feminists, but I really want them to call out assholes like the above. Constantly debunk them and drive them back down into the pits they crawled out of.

I can't believe people are taking the time to actually come and bitch to you, either askbox or reblog. I'm reading over the replies to that post and I'm just seeing you lean in, whispering to them, "you're exactly the person I'm talking about". lmao

I know! And… the reason this is bugging me so much, I realized… they’re so angry about a movie. These people dedicate time out of their lives to hate a movie. Like, I can see maybe posting a big rant or review about it and then moving on, but dedicating so much time and energy every day to hating something you don’t like… it’s so pointless and bitter.
