I finally managed to fix the merged and ruined line art from this old piece and decided to finish it at long last.

This is one of my Protoss OC’s, Xelaris - An abandoned preserver who’s woken from her time in cryostasis by a lone Nerazim called Atargatis. Understandably, she’s less than pleased to see him and a fight ensues, amid all the chaos, her nerve cords are severed and she’s left with a choice. Accept Atargatis’ help to leave the Zerg infested world he’s found her on, or remain and face them on her own.

Needless to say, after a lot of angry discussion and another spat, she begrudgingly accepts his help when she hears that the Khalai Protoss now reside on Shakuras. What Atargatis does not realize is, she has a grudge to settle with a certain Judicator, and he’s about to deliver a weapon right to their doorstep.

He’d slipped out the window during the afternoon, while Miss Delarix had been busy with handling customers. It was a second-floor window, and his old injury made it a little difficult to climb, but he was used to climbing out windows. It was how he’d met Tal’Shar.

Aiur was big, and bright, and had many protoss living there. It would be difficult for Mother to find him here, not when she had to search an entire planet. And maybe she was somewhere else, somewhere far away. Hopefully she was somewhere so far away that he’d never see her again. So Arsurus felt safe enough to wander off, at least to the nearby forest or park.

If he’d been older, he might have felt slightly silly. A poncho-like half-cape covered his neck and upper arms, an oversized tunic hung about his skinny frame, and a plushie cat made of black rags hung limply in one arm. A little bag was slung over his shoulder, beneath the half-cape, carrying his all-important notebook. But even though he curled in on himself to avoid notice, and even though his bright green eyes were focused on dodging eye contact instead, Arsurus thought that he looked just like a real xenobiologist.

Besides the fact that Arsurus thinks that Xelaris is very cool and smart?

Tal'Shar is surprised that Arsurus gets along with Xelaris, and vice-versa. He’d be interested in tagging along with Arsurus at some point, just to see what she’s like.

Immardar… Well, he thinks that Atargatis is a plank. But hopefully he can get Atar to pass muster when it comes to Lytha, even if he has to kidnap Atar and put him through a crash course on dating.
