INKTOBER2017 #22 - Xenotype Terrorizer

This one was harder than I expected. So, above beast is the design and idea of Sylizar. As I posted in the latest journal, I wanted to do some request artworks for my most adamant supporters and Sylizar wanted me to draw one of his Xenotypes, an alien monsters that shift and change their body on a regular basis to form some really unearthly horrors. Problem from my perspective was details! All the Xenotypes are reaaaally complicated and full of textures and most tiny details. And I am a sucker for them and I cannot for the life of me fight easily against the flood of details. Streamlining design wasn't an option this time, so I went with it and slaved over the paper until I was quite content with the sketch and the representation of the monster. A picrew of my impression of what a stitchman might look like.

Stitchmen, so called because their bodies are cobbled together from the corpses of their victims, stalk the night on the Rim, striking at close range with heavy clubs or warhammers, hoping to preserve the flesh of their victims as much as possible. Their battered and bruised captives are dragged home and executed, before being stripped for parts post mortem.

Stitchmen never really went anywhere because fleshcrafting is kind of lacking imo (i wanted them to be like the Bruderschaft from The Rook) but they show up among raiders here and there.
