Get your brain speaking before your mouth.

Control your tone of voice and emphasis.

Don't interrupt while someone is talking.
Communication is usually two-way but if a person is dominating or is a bit too chatty, then you must avoid interrupting them .find a way to get a word sideways without being rude.
Avoid using jargon as much as possible
Jargon might create a negative or unintentional change in the conversation and hence it results in the change of meaning of what you intended to say. So it's better to avoid.
Be prepared for different accents.
The usage of proper accents will help you communicate better and effective to anyone .if one's accent is improper it is quietly considered as unfamiliarity with the language.
