Other fandoms versus my fandom
No idea what he means....
You know, I find it absolutely devastating what this fandom has become. This is the second time in less than 6 months when bullying people got so far that people are taking breaks, leaving Tumblr, deleting their blogs. It’s been nearly 25 years since The X-Files started and it’s been 21 days since Season 11 has been announced. We could have all the reason to celebrate our show, our luck, invite and welcome new fans to join us in the next crazy ride. But guess what we are doing... Hating on each other!
Gillian just published a book about honesty, acceptance and finding ourselves and look at this fandom. Does this behaviour remind you of those principles? A fandom should be a mostly fun, safe place with a hint of drama. The beauty of it should be that we are different with different views and different experiences. This diversity should be celebrated not used to generate hate.
This fandom is divided, that we have to deal with. We have to accept it, and just move on, people! It’s really not that difficult, showing some respect by leaving each other alone!! Anon hate will never stop and bullies gonna stay bullies, but!
Please don’t leave. Please don’t let your little world being shuttered by strangers on the internet. Take a break, sure. But please don’t leave.Turn off anon mode, block everyone who hurts you. Just focus on people who make you feel safe, loved, and accepted. Create your nice, little bubble and stay in it! The X-files is coming back, Fox Upfronts is next week. As someone who lived through the months leading up to Season 10, I promise you it’s gonna be epic. It’s gonna be a lifetime experience and probably it’s gonna be the last time. Let’s come together and enjoy it! Please.

I went to The Fall Q&A and WOW festival where I could have met Gillian but instead, this happened:
There was no chance to meet Gillian before/after the Q&A and the whole panel was a bit off. The moderator was a jackass and that kinda set the atmosphere…Gillian told him off a couple of times and to witness that, was somewhat fascinating and inspiring! I’ve waited 22 years to be in the same room as she is and it did not disappoint! I was over the top! Also, all the myths are true; she really is tiny, cute, and breathtakingly beautiful! You can feel a shifting in the room when she enters. No picture does her justice. One of the best days of my life! *Met=being in the same room and not watching it via my laptop*
After the WE panel, I could have met her but I was kinda at the end of the queue, there were rumours that they can’t sign for everyone so I decided to leave without the meet-up. With some friends, we went and grabbed some drinks, met people from the fandom and chatted about all things interesting! We had a crazy&awesome night, one of the bests, actually! So again, I did not meet her, but thanks to her and The X-files, and this fandom I found some great new friends who are the most amazing people and I’ll be always grateful for this opportunity!❤️
I went to David’s concert last year with @funtasteec and whoo boy what a day that was! We didn’t opt for the VIP meet-up so, again I did not have the ‘whole’ experience but I nearly survived this night as it was so probably it was better this way. 😂😂
It was the last stop of his European Tour, the concert was sold out, people were singing, dancing and just being ‘over the top happy’. The band and David could feel this vibe, so the concert lasted longer as it was planned. They played all the songs they could, David came down to dance with the audience on two separate occasions and he was funny, humble, grateful and damn happy! He invited everyone from the crew, and his travelling companions to come and join him on stage! It was a magical & emotional couple of minutes singing ‘Hell or Highwater. Everyone on stage was joyful, seeing David living his dream, taking in all the love and positive vibes that room had during that song. MAGICAL! Plus, I got to touch David Duchovny’s perfect muscles and look into those beautiful eyes….See, pretty perfect night already. After the concert, we met with some of the guys from the band, talked to them about touring, and just about life, really. They were the nicest. Probably around two Pints and 30 minutes later me and @funtasteec could start discussing what just happened to us but only in short, little sentences. 😂 😂
Our conclusion was: David Duchovny is the sweetest rock-n-roll guy and his abs are out of this world.
Sorry, Anon this post got out of hand 😂 Meeting them both was a feeling I’m not sure I’ll be able to describe but I’m a fan since I was 7, and coming from Eastern Europe...These things are still somewhat a good mixture of shocking and uplifting mess.
