@xfkingsglaive from here
Hearing the other, Titus looks up and stares as he looks at the file that was soon on his desk. "Chancellor, what the hell are you doing here?" He shouldn't be here, least of all if someone sees the two of them around talking about certain politics.
However, hearing those words, he looks down at the file and stares at it. "What is this?" Taking it, he opens it up to look it over and frowns. This man...he knows this man... Frowning deeply, he notices a word and stares at it. Artifact?... The Captain looks up at the man as he holds up the file. "What does this have to do with me? If anything seems like work for the Royal Guards and the Marshal." Just seeing it though made him have mixed feelings about it. Weakening the King and his Council was great, however killing people that promised to serve and bring better life to the people by using their own, pissed him off...
Ardyn blinked, temporarily confused by the formal address. He wasn’t a chancellor! Hell he hadn’t had an official title since Aera died.
Oh, oh now he remembered. That ball where he’d convinced Verstael to get him inside in return for some Solhiem artifacts. Verstael had given him a false title and Ardyn had proceeded to cause chaos and rob everyone there blind.
“Oh I’m afraid you’re mistaken lad, that title was a ruse!” He laughed, “That party certainly was a fun night but my political career began and ended with it. Or uh, ended with me stealing an Airship and crashing it into a statue of Leviathan in Altissia rather. “
He coughed and tapped the file again. Best get back to business.
“I know you’re just like the other glaives,” Ardyn said. “No more a local than I am, and sick of how they treat outsiders. It seems right that someone who’s been done wrong gets credit for getting rid of one of the more corrupt politicians. “
And he had a perfect replacement lined up as well. Someone who’d whisper in Regis’ ear and maybe push him towards rebellion and fighting back properly. But Titus didn’t need to know that.
@xfkingsglaive: Looks at her innocently.
❝Don’t give me that look. You’re hardly a saint. ❞

“That is a naughty word.”

“--- traveling is the best! I bet you would enjoy it a lot if you allowed your self too.”
GYAH! FORGOT IT WAS YOUR BDAY THIS WEEK, HAPPY BDAY!
Thank you so much! The birthday wishes are much appreciated!
@xfkingsglaive liked for a starter with Cor
Cor Leonis had a lot of regrets. He regretted being such a reckless fool in his youth. He regretted failing Mors and now he regretted listening to Regis when he deemed it fit to withdraw the Crownsguard from the Citadel on the day of the treaty. He understood his reasoning, of course. The king wanted to ensure the people were safe and Cor, ever the good soldier, obeyed, though not without questioning his decision.
If he’d pushed a little more – if he’d insisted on staying, his two closest friends might still be alive. Logically, Cor knew that that he might well have died alongside them. Clarus and Regis were powerful fighters and Regis had the King’s magic on his side, after all. Logically, he knew that this was for the best. While he’d have died beside them without hesitation, being alive meant that he could still be there for Noctis.
He’d suppressed his anger until he saw the boy and his friends off to Altissia. That was his duty, after all but once that was done, he tracked him down. Glauca.
“You’re a hard man to find, General.”
