Sean had received Calliste's response and confirmed with haste. Honestly, the entire situation had him anxious. He'd confronted Marcus and revealed some gruesome details along with a threat. It may not have been wise, but it made him feel empowered at the time. Now he was just more alert, turning corners with more caution. Careful of even his own shadow. His days of being relaxed with his secrets had come to a halt. Still, he did hold power and he'd use it to his advantage, for his own safety. Monsters were merely a notion until faced with them. Now Marcus knew. He had to have someone on his side.
The sun was setting rapidly as he sat at his table, having poured a small glass of whiskey to take some of the edge off. He hadn't established a real time, allowing Calliste to decide when would be best for her. In the meantime, he was deciding how and what to tell her exactly. He was certain he couldn’t skirt by with little actual info and charm in this case. She was far too perceptive and insistent. Too much like himself for him to get away with anything, like not actually telling her.
