Chen clan information

The Lord title is passed down from father to the first born son unless the firstborn dies or is not deemed fit to be in charge of the clan. This clan specifically is the richest of all five clans as well as they are the most influential. 

Xing-fu was born sickly and albino so often got teased by the children of closer clans. But due to his sickness he spent a lot of time just being alone inside the clan’s home. This is how he got close to Hua’s father Ju-Long. Ju-Long felt sorry for the young lord being teased and having no friends so he befriended him just so Xing-Fu would smile again. They spent a lot of time together when Ju-Long was not training. The strong bond they had made Xing-Fu promote Ju-Long to head guard once he became the head of the clan.

Quan’s mother married Xing-Fu due to an arranged marriage however she was not the most faithful wife to him. The youngest son of one of the other clans , whose name is Li-Qiang, slept with her on multiple occasions as well as almost straight after Xing-Fu died Li-Qiang married her. But the rest of the clan noticed the difference in appearance between Xing-Fu and Quan. Although the Lord is albino, the clan know that Quan’s rather light brown hair is a rare colour in their traditional land and mainly exists amongst the fifth clan. Despite this Xing-Fu still treated Quan as though he was his own. To him, the boy deserved the best father he could and that his illness got to bad for him to even try to have another child. He took that information with him till the day he died, making Ju-Long swear to not tell him as it would break everything the perfect world Quan had. 

When Quan was young, he played by himself a lot. Rather similar to that of his “father’s” childhood. His siblings hated him and teased him themselves. This is how he met Hua. Hua was spending a day with his father, learning about the job. Hua saw Quan sat in the open with an old toy, crying. Hua sat with him and talked to his lord on a daily basis. Often disappearing and scaring his adoptive parents. This is why Quan trusts Hua a lot. He’s the only friend he has.

Hua was adopted kinda after being found by a lake by Ju-Long and his wife. Hua grew up with an adoptive brother, Ju-Long’s biological son. Hua’s actual family was the leaders of the third clan. However they had no children so Hua is next in line. The both the chen and the third clan is searching for their missing lords.
